Build notes
How a five world iPhone arcade game gets made and shipped, written while it happens. Mostly the parts that were harder than expected.
19 August 2026 · Devlog 02Six App Store Connect rules nobody documents
The alpha channel that blocks a screenshot upload, the 640 x 920 review image, the live build a new version cannot reuse, the Marketing URL the documentation says is editable and is not, promotional text that silently does not carry over, and promo codes that cannot gift an in-app purchase. None of them is a rejection. All of them are silent.
11 August 2026 · Devlog 01Shipping an iOS game at 8.6 MB with zero third-party SDKs
Audio synthesised at runtime instead of shipped, a keyboard seam that made a tilt game playable in the Simulator, a bot rig that turned difficulty from an opinion into a measurement, the one server that does exist, and an honest account of what having no analytics actually costs.
